Along with Sparky and Bo, I just realized! :PMelissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02784639997789598537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7838692191797252143.post-26002609504214499582009-06-12T06:43:04.758-07:002009-06-12T06:43:04.758-07:00As much as I HATE to contribute in any way to the ...As much as I HATE to contribute in any way to the impending relocation... I have to say that pioneers kept their starters alive on the way west. Just needs to be fed and kept reasonably warm. You could carry it in your carry-on or diaper bag if it were a small enough sample. If I do end up going with you we could each take a small container - so as to pass through security. I can't BELIEVE I just offered to help with this dastardly plot to move to the ends of the earth! :)Dianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17486263190109626317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7838692191797252143.post-64582437037177477592009-06-11T16:54:53.634-07:002009-06-11T16:54:53.634-07:00Well, keep your pants on! I have some other things to do (pick up a million smushed Ritz crackers off the floor, for one) and then I will come back and figure out what I did. Part of the weird thing is that I was taking care of Jack at the same time I was working on the bread, so I ended up completely altering the timing. You'll see. Give me a day or so to write the post!Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02784639997789598537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7838692191797252143.post-22027730820064050072009-06-11T16:00:25.664-07:002009-06-11T16:00:25.664-07:00SO HOW DO YOU DO IT?!?!?!

Anyway, I am determined to figure out how I can make it with wheat bread, so I will let you know when I get it figured out. :)Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02784639997789598537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7838692191797252143.post-61676476090785382002009-06-11T14:13:52.861-07:002009-06-11T14:13:52.861-07:00That sure is exciting. The longer you keep your starter alive, the more sour it will get.

Unfortunately, sourdough is only something that can be done with white flour (at least a large portion of white flour), so it is not in my future.Christibalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00562442956720629117noreply@blogger.com
