The tiniest Bowling has doubled in size in the last ten days, now coming in at an impressive four centimeters and change! Of course, the measurement varies depending on the angle of the view and the position of the baby (napping today, for most of the ultrasound) but we are assured that the baby is at just the right size for the timetable.
We're out and about right now, but will post today's pictures when we get home. In one of them, you can see that Bowling Jr. is stretched out very luxuriously, enjoying the comfort while it's still roomy in there!
A place for Mrs. B to brag about her (wonderful) kids, share her recipes, keep her writing muscles loose and learn more about photography as she documents life for friends and family across the country.

baby, baby, baby
We did the first ultrasound today.... The baby was dancing around, waving arms and legs very excitedly, so we got a really good look instead of the vague peanut shape we were expecting. They gave us a couple of pictures to take home with us. Here is the better one (which really doesn't do justice to how much it actually looks like a BABY already!) The doctor didn't get a picture of the dancing, wiggly poses because she was too busy being surprised at how much wiggling and dancing there was. So anyway, here he/she is:

Dr. appointment on Friday
It probably bears mentioning that we are going on Friday to get our first ultrasound done! We might post pictures (depending on if we get a take-home print out) so stay tuned!

Tennessee trip
We thought it might be good to mention that we're on a Mon-Thurs trip to Tennessee to see Grandpa Jack and enjoy the fine weather. (We haven't seen 70 degree days in months!)

Hey, that's good. :)
Alex and I have been working on being healthier. We are going for improving in small ways, like having more white meat, salads, and stuff like that. Well, yesterday we got an exercise bike! It's small, so it doesn't eat up half the apartment, but it has a bunch of fun gadgets on it so you can track heart rate and stuff like that.

Hooray!
New Hampshire is doing a recount of the votes cast in the primaries this week. Dennis Kucinich called for the recount and the Governor very wisely agreed to do it.
Alex and I are interested in the results. We feel that even if the results tally the votes exactly as they were recorded the first time, it's worth going through the process to get rid of the doubts and worries that are already being discussed openly among our citizenry.
This is something we can support paying money for!
