chaos on the home front

Jack is doing his semi-regular "throw a ball at Boone and then get MAD and YELL when Boone grabs it and runs off."

He chases Boone around in an absolute fury while the dog is wagging his tail and giggling to himself about what a fun time they're having....

And 6 times out of ten, Evie is in the middle getting repeatedly knocked on her buns!

 

Thank goodness for story time in 30 minutes.  These kids are no good at at-home independent play right now!

For everybody who doesn't get to play with her on a regular basis, here's a little Evie on her 6-month "birthday". :)

I just put batteries in Evie's jumper chair, and she and Jack got totally silly over it. :)

4/365: Slow Day

Some days we run all over the place, doing story time, projects, swimming, etc., etc., etc.

This was NOT one of those days. Jack didn't sleep well last night so we had a quiet day of groceries and a few other errands, and spent the afternoon napping and then playing with blocks. Jack built this awesome street of houses, all by himself!


That about covers it for the Bowling household today. We're going to continue doing not-much-of-anything until bedtime!

yoga night

Monday and Thursday are my yoga nights -- the best! A friend of mine teaches the classes, and they are just such a nice change from my normal routine! I find myself thinking about things totally unrelated to my day-to-day life, or nothing at all, and get a nice workout almost without even noticing!

I have to give my husband kudos for being willing to stay home with a tired Bear on these nights so I can get my personal time. He's a good guy, huh?

Jack and I are having a silly afternoon at home, in which we do whatever comes into our heads. Jack figured out this amazingly cute game! I can't decide which video I like better. :)
